For my darling

I'm fast approaching my 7th month of pregnancy this week. This marks the last lap, the 3rd trimester. Thank God that all has been well and while I could really do away with the leg cramps, the tiredness, the occasional aches in the back, I have much to be thankful for.

It's so heartwarming that we're not the only ones looking forward to the arrival of Sophie. At Melvin's and Ruth's wedding yesterday, we caught up with so many friends and they too share in our joy.

Baby on board sign for Sophie. In the most expected color, pink no less :)

This is going to be Sophie's first toy and best companion with her in the pram in future. At the back of the tag it says, "I'll be your friend. Wherever you go, I'll be right by your side."

Gorgeous diaper cakes

Made popular by the show Sex in the City

These lovely diaper cake are the gift of choice for baby showers now. Of course there's no denying that they're ultra cute to boot too!

With themes from fairytale unicorn fantasy...

to cupcakes (my favourite!)

You are spoilt for choice!

I just love all things pink and wonder if Baby Sophie is gonna be as much as a pinky lover as mummy. I just lurve the "cupcakes" made with socks. So adorable :) someone say awwww..

25 weeks pregnant

See what Sophie can do at 25 weeks:
Your baby is responsive to touch now. You can have fun with baby by trying to tickle her foot when she kicks you or by lying on your back and rolling from side to side, to see how she reacts. Her eyelids open around now and her heart is beating so strongly, it may be heard with a stethoscope.

Hmm not sure how to tickle her foot through my tummy...Wonder if she will giggle or give me a kick in return!

Went for our monthly check up today and here's a video of what Sophie was up to.

Can you spot her heart beating?

The gyne commented that Sophie is growing well. Her estimated fetal weight is now at 603 grams. A healthy weight for her at 6 months. Thank God that all has been well in my pregnancy so far. Cant wait to meet my little princess :)

My name is Sophie

Before Daddy and Mummy found out that I was a girl, they already poured through books and websites to search for a name for me. So by the 5th month, they've already shortlisted a few names.

- Sophie or Chloe if I were a girl
- Bryan or Ian if I were a boy

The reason for these names is because mummy liked the meaning of these names and the associations with these names. Oh and not forgetting that these are more
"current" baby names from my generation :) so I don't follow in mummy's footsteps, heh.

Oh and why these names?
Sophie- means Wisdom
Chloe- means Blooming
Both these names brings to mind a very sweet-natured little girl and what the names mean are traits that Daddy and Mummy hope I grow up with. Mummy personally thinks that these are names for cuties like me too.

In the end, Daddy and Mummy decided that they will name me Sophie Tay so that I'll live up to my name as a young lady of wisdom.
